According to Recover USA, the U.S. only recycles about 30% of its waste stream, despite the fact that an estimated 75% of it could be recycled. It’s so bad that some places pay other states to take their trash for them because it is too much to be contained. The entirety of the U.S. only recycles 1% of their aluminum products. This is 0.67 million tons of recycled aluminum, as opposed to the 2.44 million tons that are found in landfills, as calculated by the EPA.

LSINC works hard to do their part to improve the stats. Our Director of Scheduling and Production, Patrick Suggs, confirmed that LSINC’s machining processes ensures recycling of 100% of the metal that is not used during parts production. Most of the metal is aluminum. But, the LSINC team doesn’t stop with just recycling metal. All cardboard materials are also recycled as they are used and disposed of, in both our manufacturing and business areas.

As a corporation, LSINC strives to create a BIG impact for our clients—through product development, manufacturing & assembly and business solutions—while leaving a small footprint on our environment, for ourselves, our families, our country, and our world.

LSINC will continue to look for ways to reduce our footprint, and we would challenge everyone to drop that can, box, or water bottle in a recycling bin today! Every piece recycled will give back to the beautiful planet we live on.
