  • LSINC Corporation promotes three as part of company's new growth plan

    HUNTSVILLE, AL, March 19, 2018 – LSINC Corporation has promoted three leaders in the company to new executive positions effective immediately. The announcement was made by CEO Alicia Ryan who stated, “with the rapid growth of the company’s engineering and product development group, it is necessary to build strong infrastructure to stay on pace with current growth while preparing for further expansion.” Alisha Weldon has been named chief operations officer (COO). She had been the chief financial officer since 2016 after joining LSINC in 2012 as vice president of finance and operations. As COO, Weldon will continue to leverage her financial acumen and the strategies she helped put in place to maintain the company’s growth. In addition to providing focus on operational and financial excellence, she oversees human resources, information technology, contracts administration, and security. James Bullington, Professional Engineer, is the chief technology officer (CTO). He joined LSINC in 2012 as director of engineering and was then promoted to vice president of engineering, prototyping and manufacturing. As CTO, Bullington will continue developing key relationships to advance growth in niche markets and focus on innovation in technology areas. He also is responsible for ensuring protection of the company’s intellectual property as it pertains to engineering and product development. Bullington holds more than eleven patents. ' Shea Curry has been promoted to vice president of engineering and manufacturing. He joined LSINC in 2012 as senior mechanical engineer and director of manufacturing. As vice president, he is responsible for the design, development, prototyping, test, and manufacture of all client projects, overseeing the engineering team, machine shop, and production team. His quality and safety initiatives and best practices processes have enabled LSINC to increase operational efficiencies and enable growth.

  • LSINC Corporation Appoints Robert M. Lightfoot, Jr. President

    HUNTSVILLE, AL, May 2, 2018 — LSINC Corporation today announced that Robert M. Lightfoot, Jr. will join the company as President. LSINC is a rapidly growing firm dedicated to helping clients achieve mission success by providing innovative strategy assurance and product development, to bring client ideas to reality. Lightfoot is for the former Acting Administrator of the National Aeronautics & Space Administration (NASA) serving in the position for the last 15 months. His permanent position at NASA Headquarters was Associate Administrator, the agency’s highest-ranking civil service position. He previously was director of NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, AL. Lightfoot spent much of his NASA career in rocket propulsion testing and space shuttle program propulsion offices. He spent two years at NASA Headquarters focused on strategies for the shuttle return to flight following the Columbia tragedy. “We look forward to his contributions as we enhance our ability to provide strategic services to our customers,” said Alicia Ryan, Chief Executive Officer. “His forward-thinking and consensus-building leadership style brings a new dimension to how we can work with those we serve.” “I’m extremely excited to join the LSINC team and appreciate the confidence placed in me to further elevate the company’s growth,” said Lightfoot. “My experience in leading NASA and LSINC’s proven track record is the solid foundation our clients will leverage to achieve mission success.” Lightfoot received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Alabama where he is a Distinguished Departmental Fellow for the Department of Mechanical Engineering, a College of Engineering fellow, and served on the Mechanical Engineering Advisory Board. He is a native of Alabama and married to the former Caroline Smith of Huntsville. “I’m also excited about coming home to the community that has supported me throughout my career,” Lightfoot said. “I will build on Alicia’s impressive legacy of community service and look forward to re-engaging with the Huntsville-Madison County team to expand what we can do here in North Alabama.”

    HUNTSVILLE, AL, June 13, 2018 — LSINC Corporation today announced that James “Trip” Ferguson has joined the company as Vice President of Strategic Accounts and Initiatives. He will lead new business development initiatives in support of the company’s strategy and product development divisions by identifying and securing new strategic markets and clients, as well as working with the internal teams to help bring client ideas to reality. “We are pleased to bring Trip to the team to help us expand into new markets, building on the first-class work we do for current clients,” said Alicia Ryan, CEO. “It is the combination of his unique leadership in both operations and strategy, as well as his deep understanding of operations management and manufacturing that makes him the perfect fit to help grow LSINC to a new level of client delivery.” Ferguson is the former Vice President of Operations for the U.S. Space & Rocket Center, where he led Space Camp programs, museum and facility operations resulting in double digit revenue growth annually during his tenure. Previously, he was Vice President of Operations for the Remington Outdoor Company where he led start-up activities for the Huntsville campus. He has extensive leadership experience working in the medical, energy, and firearms markets. Ferguson is a former Captain in the U.S. Marine Corps who has served overseas twice in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, and as the Battalion Landing Team Intelligence Officer for the evacuation of American citizens from Lebanon in 2006 as a member of the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit. He received his bachelor’s degree in economics from the U.S. Naval Academy and master’s in business administration from the University of Alabama in Huntsville.

  • $10M cyber camp donation August 2017

    The state of Alabama gives $10 million to U.S. Cyber Camp Cyber Huntsville, the University of Alabama in Huntsville, the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce, the US Space & Rocket Center, and sponsors of the inaugural cyber camp, including LSINC Corporation, were recognized during a news conference in which the state of Alabama granted $10 million for U.S. Cyber Camp. Cyber Huntsville is an initiative launched by Huntsville Mayor Tommy Battle, a group of dedicated industry, academic and government professionals who dedicated to making Huntsville a Cyber Center of Excellence for America.  LSINC Corporation is a member of Cyber Huntsville. In addition to the organizations mentioned above, other sponsors of US Cyber Camp are:  Deloitte, ProModel, IBM, Dynetics, Leidos, Lockheed Martin, Davidson Technologies, Kord Technologies, nLogic, DESE Research, and the National Space Club-Huntsville.
