How does LSINC celebrate the coming of spring? Thanks to Patrick, our Director of Scheduling and Production, this year it was with the High Bay Picnic! Everyone brought something to contribute and fired up the grill during their lunch break. As the instigator, Patrick said it was, “just a way to be together, for everyone to contribute…because everybody brought a little something. It was a chance to chill out and be together outside of work.”

  • Print the Rainbow

What happens when LSINC engineers need to print onto a clear bottle but don’t want to risk UV light refraction damaging any printheads? The whole team puts their heads together to come up with a solution! After attempting to fill the bottle using items on-hand like rubber bands, packing peanuts, and coffee grounds, with no time to engineer along-term approach or order any special equipment the entire job was saved by some innovative thinking and a couple boxes of Skittles®.

  • Positively LSINC

Judith Shaver, ourDirector of Business Development at LSINC, had been at LSINC only a month when she made a change that will affect how LSINC employees view their company and themselves forever. Hired in December of 2018, Shaver hadn’t been with LSINC long when she decided to give the leadership team a New Year’s gift: a book called The Energy Bus by Jon Gordon. The team read the book, and Alicia Ryan, LSINC’s CEO, fell in love. As a Valentine’s Day gift to her employees, Ryan decided to purchase the book for everyone to read in their choice of paper or audiobook. Thanks to these decisions, LSINC is now officially adopting The Energy Bus and its lessons as a part of our corporate identity and culture. The Energy Bus is a business parable that teaches the main character, George, to take control of his life, bring success, and encourage others to do the same.He learns to follow the ten rules of riding on the energy bus: Drive your own bus. Leverage desire, vision, and focus to move in the right direction. Fuel your ride with positive energy. Invite people onto your bus; share your vision as you drive. Do not waste time with people that refuse to get on the bus. Do not allow energy vampires into your bus. Remember that enthusiasm attracts and encourages the most passengers. Love your passengers. Drive with purpose. Have fun, and enjoy the ride! In the words of our Director of Business Development herself, “It’s a book of business parables about having positive energy in business. I reread it every year. It talks about being thankful and so much more that the list really never ends.” Want to join the LSINC family’s journey onto the energy bus? Visit Jon Gordon’s website to read the book and start driving your own bus!

  • Aluminum Footprint

According to Recover USA , the U.S. only recycles about 30% of its waste stream, despite the fact that an estimated 75% of it could be recycled. It’s so bad that some places pay other states to take their trash for them because it is too much to be contained. The entirety of the U.S. only recycles 1% of their aluminum products. This is 0.67 million tons of recycled aluminum, as opposed to the 2.44 million tons that are found in landfills, as calculated by the EPA . LSINC works hard to do their part to improve the stats. Our Director of Scheduling and Production, Patrick Suggs, confirmed that LSINC’s machining processes ensures recycling of 100% of the metal that is not used during parts production. Most of the metal is aluminum. But, the LSINC team doesn’t stop with just recycling metal. All cardboard materials are also recycled as they are used and disposed of, in both our manufacturing and business areas. As a corporation, LSINC strives to create a BIG impact for our clients—through product development, manufacturing & assembly and business solutions—while leaving a small footprint on our environment, for ourselves, our families, our country, and our world. LSINC will continue to look for ways to reduce our footprint, and we would challenge everyone to drop that can, box, or water bottle in a recycling bin today! Every piece recycled will give back to the beautiful planet we live on.

  • The Five-Step

LSINC is a company founded on innovation and collaboration. The LSINC team works together to create strategies for the technology that improves the world, bringing ideas to reality. It takes time for truly innovative products to mature from an idea to being on the production floor. The best idea, if not handled with care and precision by skilled engineers, could result in a product that is missing some of the best capabilities to streamline or improve processes. At LSINC, we employ a five-step process to ensure this durable excellence for each client: Idea.     Design.     Engineer.    Manufacture.     Launch. Idea: The first step is to fully explore the idea, research if and how this idea hasbeen approached before and visualize a better version. Design: The second step is to formulate a game plan. This is when budget, risks, and technical requirements are brought into the conversation. Engineer: LSINC Engineers take the information gathered in the Design Phase and collaborate between multiple specialties to finalize the details. Manufacture:T he fourth step is one of the most unique to LSINC: we manufacture in-house so that our clients have continuity from engineering to manufacturing. Launch: The product is reality, and it’s time to introduce it to the world! LSINC provides clients with all needed documentation, market research, and strategies for success.
